Berta Martínez Wins 2026 Physics Department Research Award for Best Poster

During the annual research workshops of the Department of Physics at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, the organizing committee recognized outstanding doctoral research with its 2026 Best Poster Research Awards.
PhD student Berta Martínez Pàmias was awarded the First Research Prize for Best Poster for her work entitled “Phase Synchronization of Two Weakly Coupled InP Lasers in a Photonic Integrated Circuit for Random Number Generation.”
Her research focuses on the phase synchronization of two weakly coupled indium phosphide lasers integrated within a photonic circuit, with applications in random number generation technologies. The project was carried out in collaboration with Professors C. Masoller and Miquel Rudé, in partnership with Quside Technologies, inside de DONLL group.
In the same research workshops, the PhD students Shroddha Mukhopadhyay and Juan Gancio Vázquez were also preselected to present their posters during the session.
