The Agrupació Astronòmica Terrassa hosts a public lecture titled “Ordinal Methods to Anticipate Changes in Complex Systems”, to be delivered by PhD student in our group Juan Gancio.
The talk will take place on Saturday, 17 January, at 7:00 p.m., at the association’s headquarters, located at Carrer Martí Díez, 7, third floor, in Terrassa. Admission is free.
Juan Gancio is a pre-doctoral researcher in our group, the Nonlinear Dynamics, Nonlinear Optics and Lasers (DNOLL). Thanks to experiments carried out at the Université Côte d'Azur in Nice, he has found a way to predict changes in the behavior of laser light. The work was recently published in the prestigious journal Physical Review Letters.
The work can be read in the arvix or Physical Review Letters.
