Ramon Vilaseca has been elected fellow of the Optical Society. Ramon was recognized for " For pioneering research in nonlinear optics, nonlinear laser dynamics, and ultra-fast laser pulse propagation in photonic crystals"

OSA is the largest scientific society in optics and photonic. The number of Fellows is limited to 10% of the total membership, and the number of fellows elected each year is limited to approximately 0.5% of the total membership.
